Discussions resulted in a number of interesting ideas and observations related to the Nobel Peace Prize Forum:

  • Highlighting the inter-relationship of business and peace
  • The notion that peacemaking, while inspirational, is very difficult to practice in a real world context
  • Inviting various Foreign Ministry leadership and staff to Minneapolis, have them participate in the Forum
  • Connecting the Forum to Peace & Reconciliation efforts of the Foreign Ministry
  • Integrating the Forum with degree programs at Norwegian universities
  • Exploring the mutual interest of MN and Norwegian for international experiences of substance and virtual collaboration
  • Extending the value of the Nobel Peace Prize through pre/post academic programming, thus making it more relevant to students and professors
