A few weeks ago I was preparing myself for my last interim class as a senior Business Administration major at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, however, an email from a professor changed my course. There was an internship opportunity at the Nobel Peace Prize Forum for the month of January near my hometown of Burnsville, Minnesota, and my professor thought I would be perfect for the position. After a few emails and a quick phone call, I was on my way to beginning this wonderful internship. Although this wasn’t what I had planned for my last J-Term at Augustana, I am more than thrilled about this opportunity. There is no doubt in my mind that this experience will serve me in my future life and career endeavors. I couldn’t be happier with this decision.
As an intern I will be assisting the NPPF team with scheduling, working on a mobile application, marketing and promotions, as well as completing finishing touches for the 4 day event. I am anxiously waiting to see what I will learn this month and hope that I will be a great asset to the team. The Nobel Peace Prize Forum is an admirable organization and I look forward to taking part in this incredible experience.
