Brother Ali’s excited about it… Are you?

If you were lucky enough to see Dessa’s Ethics and Hip Hop presentation  last year, you know there’s a powerful connection between hip hop and issues of peace and justice. This year’s Hip Hop and Peace event will feature TED-style presentations and live musical performances from not one but two hip hop artists: Minnesota’s own Brother Ali and Syrian-American Omar Offendum. Following the presentations and performances, Andrea Swensson from 89.3 The Current will moderate a panel discussion and audience Q&A.

Tickets: $15.00 (They’re moving fast, so pick one up before they sell out).
Date: Saturday, March 9
Time: Doors @ 7:15, show starts at 8
Location: Augsburg College’s Kennedy Center
